The 2026 Citizenship Test

The naturalization test has two components:

English Test
  • Speaking during interview
  • Read 1 of 3 sentences
  • Write 1 of 3 sentences
Civics Test
  • 128 possible questions
  • 20 questions asked
  • Must answer 12 correctly
2026 Update: The test now includes 128 questions (up from 100), with 20 asked (up from 10), and you must answer 12 correctly (up from 6).
